Field engineers have begun splicing work at the first joint.

Further update to confirm Field Engineers have been on site at Taunton conducting additional optical testing, this confirms fibre loss damage is 12.9km from Crediton. The exact location and extent of damage is being determined, but it is suspected a whole 48F cable has been cut.
Fibre and Civils Engineers are on route with an estimated arrival time of 21.00hrs GMT.
