Local cable station engineer arrived at the location and opened the manhole cover that is 3.5 Kms from the Cable Station where the joint is located. On opening the cover, a very strong burning smell was encountered. Fibre repair engineers contacted and are on their way to site.

Local engineers in Brookhaven after investigating, suspect another faulty joint approx. 3.5 KMS (2 miles) from the Cable Station.
