Update 05.06.2024 01:54 UTC/05.06.2024 03:54 CEST
The first investigations indicated a fiber break in the network at ~2500 meters post OTDR test. The Fiber team arrived at the splicing box to verify the chamber where fault was suspected. The fiber team completed the splicing but alarms did not get cleared in the transmission system. The fiber team again performed OTDR test and found a fiber cut at ~13 Kms from St Paul. The team found the chamber full of mud and the technicians are now cleaning the chamber to be able to take out the splicing box in order to perform an OTDR to determinate the exact distance of the fiber cut.
Update 04.06.2024 19:04 UTC/04.06.2024 21:04 CEST
The fiber team is on site at the splicing box and going to perform new OTDR test to verify the chamber where the fault/issue is located.
